“All those people and their life in drive!”—a simple change of perspective.

The photo above is from our customer service representative at Mannes Body Shop, and this is her drive into work today! She drives over forty minutes each morning, and Mannes Body Shop can’t be more grateful for her presence! As our customers reach out with a phone call, email, or open the door to our office, they are received by Tara.. She kindly directs every person she meets to the next right action for their vehicle care. Tara creates a more connected experience for everyone at Mannes Body Shop.. And she delivers excellence in her role every single day… even though it means her life is often in drive.

This morning, she caught this breath-taking beautiful sunrise. Noticing the lineup of cars disrupting her pretty view, her first thought was a bit of frustration. Then she noticed the cars again….this time with a different perspective: “ALL THOSE PEOPLE WITH THEIR LIVES IN DRIVE!” All starting their day and showing up to life… Each vehicle off to meet people, go places, and carry out a unique purpose for today.

Life is moving forward whether we care or not. Lately mine feels like it’s flying by as I hold on for dear life. But what if this perspective could shift too? Instead of my mind and heart yelling: “HOLD ON FOR DEAR LIFE!!!!!” ….what if like Tara, we simply remind ourselves that we get to “hold on to dear life.” We can be awake to grace. We get to experience life each day with dear people that share life with us. Their company providing us the very ability we need to grow something good and excellent within ourselves. These are gifts of the most unique and curious fashion if we are willing to change our perspective.

What shall we open our eyes to see in today’s journey?
