WHAT IS ‘LIFE IN DRIVE’ ?

A truck at sunset and sunrise on Lake Michgan celebrating 'LIFE IN DRIVE'

Remember the first time you got into a vehicle, and you were trusted to put the gear into DRIVE? The car began to move forward. You were seated in a position of power. You held great responsibility to life. You went somewhere!

Life is moving too. And it requires similar attention and focus. When we drive, we put on seatbelts for safety, and check that passengers of our car do the same. We put on a great pair of sunglasses and adjust our mirrors so we can see good, and look good. We check our blind spots and look around at what surrounds us. We position ourselves so that we are comfortable and hold best function and ability. We turn on our favorite music playlist and enjoy listening to our favorite podcast or radio station. We set our navigation. We get guidance when necessary. We steer and maneuver. We look for changing road conditions. We fill up our tanks as it empties. We learn the position of the road, and hold caution as we safely move forward. We keep our eyes up. And we arrive to beautiful destinations and meet people, and experience purpose..

Life is in drive.

Time is moving. There is nothing stopping this force of action. But we are given the steering wheel. We get to decide how we best move forward everyday. We get to be part of the journey. Driving requires intention, and so does life.

At Mannes Body Shop, we recognize our position of power. We get to come alongside people’s needs and help keep cars forward with safe with excellent auto-repair. Everyday we see broken cars get fixed, and stuck situations move forward again after an accident. We get to be part of that helping action. And we get to be a business which encourages people. We are thankful for the responsibility we have to serve our community and help advance situations. We are thankful for our team and all they do each day to carryout good mission and values. We see a team that is continually building the most-connected experience possible, and working really hard to do so. They recognize the power they have to advance each other’s stories and help so many in our community.

I hope today you understand and acknowledge how your life is in drive. Keep safe, and enjoy the journey. It’s moving.
